I decided that the hand rendered type that I have been working on for the website works better for the publication than a more formal font. I think that is it important for the brand that the type be consistent across both the screen and print so that people identify with the two as one thing. I drew the text real size because I didn't like the effect that live trace gave the text on Illustrator. I also hand rendered the title font so that it is in keeping with the rest of the design of the publication. I have added the logo to the page as well to help link it to the site. I am also designing a sticker for the front of the packaging of the magazine which will feature the logo as well.
